WHERE HAS PAUL CRAMER BEEN FOR 20 YEARS??
After "XX" I worked behind the scenes at several stations in Pittsburgh but I always kept my hand in alternative rock. From consulting and programming little WXVX "X-15" in Monroeville, volunteering on WYEP's "Modern Times" shows late at night and eventually leaving Pittsburgh to work at an alternative pop station in Salt Lake City. By 1991, I was in New York City working for a big radio syndicator but Pittsburgh called me back where I shortened my name to just Cramer and worked at 104.7 "The Revolution", then hopping across town for a few years at 105.9 "The X".
Somewhere in between I wrote a book called "The Encyclopedia of Modern Rock Artists" which I sold by subscription to the top record companies and alternative radio stations around the world from 1996 until 2000. In 2001, I began EAR.FM, "Earth's Alternative Rock Archive On The Internet" it features an online version of the encyclopedia and the largest alternative rock library in the world, streaming over 20,000 alternative rock classics around the world via the internet. We are listened to in over 140 countries and the station was nominated in 2005 for Best Alternative Rock Station on the internet at Live365.com! Feel free to drop in at our website: www.ear.fm. My dedication to this music as it changes and evolves has never stopped and this is my 25th year as an alternative rock broadcaster!
