Mr. X has some experience at many types of radio stations and did time at many stations in the Pittsburgh area including alternative upstart X-15 (WXVX) in the early 90's. Bringing pop sense to the mix from years of working many different formats assures YOU, the LISTENER, that Mr. X will give you a well rounded show, with many styles and flavors of alternative mixed together! In Mr. X's own words: Hi, I'm Mr. X from Hartford, Connecticut. I used to hang out at radio stations when just a wee lad thinking that this is the way to make a living playing records and getting paid for it! Even when I was younger, I was a radio pirate! I met the legendary concert promoter Bill Graham, backstage at Watkins Glen ( http://www.superseventies.com/watkinsglen.html ) and suggested that we broadcast the last six hours of the concert from our little pirate radio station that we brought to the Glen in a motor home. He said do it and we did. We used the tubes in the stage framing for an antenna and had the largest FM late night audience in the United States for a few hours that evening. Looking forward to experience freedom of thought in this new generation of radio. I cultured a dislike of corporate radio when I had to assist Lee Abrams (now programming XM satellite radio) in removing 5,000 albums from our massive library and then downsizing it to 400. I've worked in New Haven, Connecticut as a music director for WPLR, on air in Detroit, Madison, Wisconsin, and Pittsburgh, PA at a multitude of stations. I also enjoyed being a DJ in clubs in my spare time in both New Haven and Pittsburgh. About me: Im a Libra, I like long walks on the beach and sunsets. One of my favorite gigs was driving for a limo company. I really dig surround sound music. Self taught on the electric bass and electric guitar. I like to drive as fast as I can and get away with it. I still have vinyl records play them on a Technics SL1500 MK 2 that I saved from the radio station engineering trash heap. .Enjoy taking pictures I do have a bad habit of taking pics while driving. Also like a good book, a thick steak, and a cold German beer, but not in that order!
