From Portland, Oregon. Led by Scott McCaughey (vocals/guitar) with Kurt Bloch (guitar), Jim Sangster (bass) and Tad Hutchison (drums). Check out the hilarious "Amy Grant" to sample the group's sense of humor. Many independent releases. McCaughey also has released material with his side band The Minus Five and plays with members of Screaming Trees and R.E.M. in Tuatara. McCaughey, like Peter Holsapple (dB's) before him, has also served as a touring guitarist for R.E.M. 1984-present.
