WORLD PARTY
From Prestatyn, North Wales, England. Karl Wallinger formed this band after leaving The Waterboys. It is a rare instance in music when a player can leave an established band and form a new one with even greater success and longevity than the original, this is one of those instances. Wallinger uses influences from all the major 60's UK groups in his music which makes his music sound new but very familiar all at once. His success has eclipsed that of his former group. Before even joining The Waterboys, Wallinger served several years as the musical director of the London based version of the live Rocky Horror Picture Show. Wallinger himself is World Party. 1986-present.
