KIM WILDE

 

 

From England.  A bright light on the UK pop scene, Kim is the daughter of well known British entertainer Marty Wilde. Occasionally landing a pop hit in the US, her biggest new wave hit was "Kids In America" in 1981.  She has appeared in the London stage play of The Who's "Tommy" in the role of Tommy's mother.  Fluctuating from new wave pop tart to a dance and pop star was fairly easy for Kim. Dabbling in straight ahead R&B, disco revival, house and techno, Kim continues to maintain her prolific career.  In recent years, Kim has been a co-host of several gardening programs on television!  In 2003, Kim joined with another new wave stalwart, Nena for a hit remake of Nena's "Anytime Anyplace Anywhere".  1981-present.
