WHITE ZOMBIE
From New York City, now based in Los Angeles. Industrial dance metal. Led by Rob Zombie (Rob Cummings)(vocals/guitar) with Sean Yseult (Shauna Reynolds)(bass), Jay Yuenger (guitar) and John Tempesta (drums). Naming themselves after the classic 1932 Bela Lugosi film, they explore a dark side of pop culture in their musings. Rob Zombie also fancies himself as a jack of all trades, a former porno magazine layout editor (so was Sean) and production assistant on "Pee Wee's Playhouse", he is now illustrating a comic book and directing video and film. The band's first performance was at the legendary CBGB's in New York City, 1986. Rob Zombie dissolved the band in 1999 after the success of his solo album. Yseult played a short stint in The Cramps, formed the group Famous Monsters and then joined the band Rock City Morgue. Tempesta became a member of The Cult. 1987-97.
