WHITE TOWN
From England. White Town is the alias of Jyoti (gee-oh-tay) Mishra, originally from Rourkela, India. Jyoti formed White Town in 1989 after attending a Pixies show. His thoughts were that if a man who looked like Black Francis could be a star, so could he! Indeed he found the winning combination but felt the song ("Your Woman") didn't represent what his music was about and is back on an independent label after tasting the mainstream music machine and finding it bitter. 1990-present.
