WHALE
From Stockholm, Sweden. Led by Carina "Cia Soro" Berg (vocals) with Henrik Schyffert (guitar), Heikki Kiviaho (bass), Jorgen Wall (drums) and Jon Jefferson (guitar). This unusual band presents dance music in many forms with heavy emphasis on techno and rap. Berg was already a well known VJ and promising film actress when the band started. With a tongue in cheek start, the band created a fake history on their (now defunct) website which followed the path of another band (The Cult) by naming themselves The Southern Whale Cult, then Southern Whale Cult, Southern Whale, The Whale, Orca and finally just Whale. Also the first four albums listed in the following discography do not actually exist, even though their website showed full album covers, listed tracks, etc.!!! 1995-98.
