SCOTT WEILAND

From Santa Cruz, California.  Scott Klein (changed to Scott Weiland by his adoptive father) was the lead vocalist of Stone Temple Pilots, then Velvet Revolver, and once again Stone Temple Pilots.  He has released two solo albums that had been overshadowed by his drug addiction problems.  Weiland  seems to have conquered most of his addiction problems at this point but he has had relapses.  His erratic behavior led the other members of Stone Temple Pilots into their side project Talk Show.  The future of Stone Temple Pilots as a band remained in doubt and finally the band ended.  Weiland then moved on to Velvet Revolver, teaming with ex-members of Guns & Roses.  Their success was immediate but singer and band didn;t quite gel and after two albums, Weiland left them.  Reuniting with Stone Temple Pilots again, his further success will be tested.  1998-present.
