THE VINES
From Sydney, Australia. Led by Craig Nicholls (vocals/guitar) with Patrick Matthews (guitar/bass) with Ryan Griffiths (guitar) and Hamish Rosser (drums). Formed in 1991 when they were 15, Nicholls and Matthews officially named themselves The Vines in 1994. The band named themselves after The Vynes, a group originally led by Craig's father. Part of the return to garage rock sounds that dominated alternative music in 2002. 2001-present.
