EDDIE VEDDER

From Evanston, Illinois.  Edward Severson III's early life story is recounted in the lyrics to his hit "Alive" from the band Pearl Jam.  As a boy he was adopted by his step-father and his name was changed to Edward Mueller, his stage name of Vedder is his mother's maiden name.  As the leader of Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder has mainly confined his solo efforts to the sporadic soundtrack release.  A song here, a song there, until he decided to give his talents to a whole film when he tackled the soundtrack to the movie "Into The Wild".  This earned him a radio hit with a cover of Indio's lost classic from the 80's; "Hard Sun".  In a small limited release, Vedder wrote a fight song to encourage the Chicago Cubs to go "All The Way" which was released as a cd5.  2007-present.
