THIRD WORLD

From Jamaica. Led by William "Bunny Rugs" Clarke (vocals) and Stephen "Cat" Coore (guitar) with Richie "Bassie" Daley (bass), Rupert "Gypsy" Bent III (keyboards/guitar), Tony "Ruption" Williams (drums), Leroy "Barby" Romans (keyboards/flute) and Mikel Wallace (keyboards). Formed in 1973, this reggae band had a substantial hit in the 70's with a reggae version of The O'Jays disco hit "Now That We've Found Love" and in the 80's with "Try Jah Love". Third World is a spin off band of the group Inner Circle. Cat formed the group after defecting from that band, Bunny Rugs would also leave Inner Circle to join up. 1976-present.
