THIRD EYE BLIND
From San Francisco, California. Led by Stephan Jenkins (vocals) with Tony Fredianelli (guitar), Arion Salazar (bass) and Brad Hargreaves (drums). Their first hit "Semi-Charmed Life" had an easy and fun quality reminiscent of the early Spin Doctors and the "rap" quality was no mistake either. Jenkins, a former white rapper, cast early doubts on this band because of his background. Under the name Puck and Natty, Jenkins had a song appear on the soundtrack to the tv show "Beverly Hills 90210" called "Just Wanna Be Your Friend". His pretty boy image has not helped the band in the credibility department either, though it has given the band a large fan base of young girls. Jenkins was also romantically involved with actress Charlize Theron for several years and is now dating singer Vanessa Carlton. 1997-present.
