THAT DOG
From Los Angeles. Led by Anna Waronker (vocals/guitar) with Tony Maxwell (drums), Rachel Haden (bass) and Petra Haden (violin). Anna co-wrote and performs the theme to the televison sitcom "Clueless" with ex-Go-Go Charlotte Caffey. The band split up just as they were finally getting established as an alternative band, this may be due in part to Waronker's solo aspirations. She is the daughter of Lenny Waronker, a very big name in the executive end of the record industry and a classic rock producer. Anna's brother is Joey Waronker who is a popular session drummer, most recently an auxiliary member of R.E.M. Rock pedigrees not withstanding, Anna decided to continue that bloodline by marrying Steve McDonald of Redd Kross. The Haden sisters, daughters of jazz legend Charlie Hayden moved on to The Rentals. After a five year break in recording, Anna Waronker debuted her solo album in 2002. 1992-97.
