TRICKY

From Bristol, England. The leader of the trip-hop movement, Adrian Thaws was originally a member of Massive Attack. Tricky knows the right way to create slow, ambient grooves with rap and funk mixed in for spice. His debut album was named for his mother Maxine Quay. After an executive at his own label made racist remarks, Tricky secretly leaked a song that criticized him called "Divine Comedy" that became an underground hit. 1994-present.
