TRANSVISION VAMP
From England. Led by Wendy James (vocals) with Nick Sayer (guitar), Tex Axile (keyboards/ drums) and Dave Parsons (bass). The UK pop scene has tried to copycat Blondie many times over and this was about as close as they ever got! James was a charismatic front person for the band, unafraid to throw off her clothes for publicity. She later attempted a solo career. Parsons went on to join Bush! They will be best remembered for their cover of Holly & The Italians' "Tell That Girl To Shut Up". 1988-91.
