TOO MUCH JOY

From Scarsdale, New York.  Led by Tim Quirk (vocals) with Jay Blumenfield (guitar), William Wittman (bass) and Tommy Vinton (drums).  Originally formed as a Clash tribute band, Quirk named the band after a mushroom trip that he thought would yield many great ideas while stoned and he would write them all down.  When he woke up the next morning he found that the only thing he had written on the pad was "too much joy".  In recent years, the band has taken to parodying names and artwork of albums by The Who for reasons that only they know or understand.  1987-present.
