TIN HUEY

From Akron, Ohio. Led by Harvey Gold (vocals/keyboards) with Chris Butler (guitar), Mark Price (bass), Michael Aylward (guitar), Ralph Carney (horns) and Stuart Austin (drums). Strange and eclectic, an early influence of They Might Be Giants, this band was swept up in the Akron band signing of the late-70's. Unfortunately the record company never marketed them properly to attract the interest needed to sustain a major label career. Butler left to form The Waitresses. The Hueys released a second album "disinformation" in 1999, then upon the re-issue of the Warner Bros. album "Contents Dislodged During Shipment" on cd in 2003, the band came together once again and started performing with the addition of "Bongo Bob" Ethington on percussion. This activity has since spun off Carney's band; Carneyball Johnson, Gold and Butler's; Half Cleveland and Gold's; Harvey In The Hall. 1977-81/1999.
