TIMBUK 3

From Austin, Texas. A duo of Pat & Barbara MacDonald who both sang and played guitar. They performed mostly sarcastic songs with a folk spirit. They were discovered playing in a small Austin bar by producer's of M-TV's very first music show "The Cutting Edge" and their appearance on the program led to a recording contract. Originally known as Pat MacDonald & The Essentials, the pair first released recordings as early as 1981. 1996 brought about a divorce after they ended the group in 1995. Both MacDonald's are now pursuing solo careers. 1981-95.
