'TIL TUESDAY
From Boston, Massachusetts. Led by Aimee Mann (vocals/guitar) with Robert Holmes (guitar), Joe Pesce (keyboards) and Michael Hausmann (drums). Aimee got her start by releasing an EP with her previous band The Young Snakes. The initial success of 'Til Tuesday was helped largely by repeated plays of "Voices Carry" on M-TV. Mann's pop was a little too thoughtful for the public at large though and each new album sold less than the previous. Mann's problems were only beginning with the record labels though. 1985-90.
