From Los Angeles.  Led by Jared Leto (vocals/guitar) with Shannon Leto (drums), Tomo Milicevic (guitar/keyboards), and Matt Wachter (bass).  This band achieved its original notice due to the fact that Jared Leto is a known actor.  While working in their favor, this fact runs opposed to Leto's wishes and he refuses to promote the band or appear in public if his name is used for publicity of the band.  Their music is metallic emo, sometimes grandiose.  2002-present.
