SWITCHFOOT
From San Diego, California. Led by Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar) with Andrew Shirley (guitar), Jerome Fontamillas (guitar/keyboards), Tim Foreman (bass) and Chad Butler (drums). The group began as a trio with Jon, brother Tim and Chad (all amateur surfers) who shared a love of music, ocean and God. Another successful band that took almost a decade and three independent releases before hitting their stride, their Christian beliefs are reflected as a subtle subtext throughout their music. Mainstream alternative rock radio stations picked up on them and the rest is history. Jon Foreman also scored a coup by scoring the Mandy Moore film "A Walk To Remember" which featured a duet with Mandy as well as many Switchfoot classics. 1997-present.
