SOHO

From England. Led by Tim London (Timothy Brinkhurst)(guitar/vocals) with twin sisters Jaqueline & Pauline Cuff(vocals). A pop and hip-hop hybrid, their bastardization of The Smith's classic "How Soon Is Now" in their song "Hippy Chick" was considered blasphemy by some, genius by others. A song that referred to a woman by name who had an affair with British Prime Minister John Major appeared on their follow-up album which resulted in the album not being released in their native England. A flip to a German label and two albums as Oosh (Soho spelled differently) went unreleased as well. They finally managed to get an album out under the name Trafalgar and London released a few solo discs as Yossarian as well. Regrouping again, the trio recorded a new album under the group name Family BC but have yet to release it. The Cuffs are now part of the group Copenhagen who have released several efforts. 1989-present.
