THE SMITHEREENS
From Carteret, New Jersey. Led by Pat DiNizio (vocals/guitar) with Jim Babjak (guitar), Mike Mesaros (bass) and Dennis Diken (drums). Smart, charming rock and pop. The band first gained popularity through New Jersey's famous Hoboken scene and were without a doubt the most successful band on the independent Enigma label. They had a particular sound and style and it could be said that if you heard one Smithereens song then you heard them all, but that's not a bad thing where this band is concerned. The band took an extended break in the early 90's but has returned to action in recent years, DiNizio will write a custom song for you on his website, for a price of course. 1980-present.
