SISTERS OF MERCY
From Leeds, England. Led by Andrew Eldritch (Andrew Taylor)(vocals) with a changing number of back up musicians. Gothic dance metal of the highest caliber. Some of the members of the band have included Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams who left to form The Mission UK, Tony James after the first break-up of Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and Patricia Morrison who now plays with The Damned. The band named themselves after a song by Leonard Cohen, about as non-gothic as one can get! While there has not been any studio material in many years, the band did complete a major successful tour in 1997. In 1999, unofficial bootlegged copies of the projected next single "Summer" began to appear in the gothic music underground! 1980-present.
