SILVERCHAIR
From Newcastle, Australia. Led by Daniel Johns (vocals/guitar) with Chris Joannow (bass) and Ben Gillies (drums). Teenagers from down under find a winning grunge sound combined with good old fashioned punk! Originally calling themselves The Innocent Criminals, with each new album they mature but unfortunately become more mainstream as well. 2002 saw the group sidelined when Johns developed an arthritis condition. In January of 2003, Johns announced his engagement to singer/actress Natalie Imbruglia which resulted in a New Year's Eve wedding. The group went on hiatus while Johns created another band called The Dissociatives. They regrouped in 2007 with a new album release. 1994-present.
