FEARGAL SHARKEY

From Derry, Ireland.  The former leader of The Undertones.  His solo career was successful but Sharkey's hits were all written by others.  Feeling his talents were best served somewhere other than behind the microphone, he became a record company executive and remains so today. His hits included "A Good Heart" written by Maria McKee, "More Love" written by Benmont Tench of Tom Petty's Heartbreakers, and the popular "Never Never" with Vince Clarke of Erasure under the name The Assembly.  1985-91.
