THE SHAMEN

From Aberdeen, Scotland. Led by Colin Angus (vocals) and Mr. C. (sampling) with an ever changing cast of sidemen. This band played a major role in Britain's acid house movement. Their song "Happy Days" was used in a major television commercial promotion to the unwitting knowledge of the sponsors that the song was actually a protest to the Falklands War. The band is concentrating on new releases for the internet exclusively and small private pressings. 1986-present.
