SUICIDE

From New York City. A duo of Alan Vega (vocals) and Martin Rev (keyboards). Beginning in the early 70's, they pioneered what would later become the synthpop sound much like their contemporaries Kraftwerk. Suicide however approached their music from different musical roots than their German cousins. Formed in 1970, the duo still plays and releases material whenever the urge strikes them. Vega has released a book of lyrics and poetry. Rev has had many solo releases. 1977-present.
