THE SUGARCUBES

 

 

From Reykjavik, Iceland.  Led by Bjork Gudmunsdottir (vocals) with Einar Orn (vocals/trumpet), Thor Eldon (guitar), Bragi Olafsson (bass), Magga Ornolfsdottir (keyboards) and Siggi Baldrursson (drums). Bjork gave weirded out vocals with a foreign accent a place in the history of alternative rock, right next to Nina Hagen!  She has since gone on to a successful solo career.  Also finding success, Olafsson has become a popular writer and poet in his homeland.  1987-92.
