THE SUBURBS

 

 

From Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Led by Bruce Allen (guitar) with Blaine John "Beej" Chaney (vocals/guitar), Michael Halliday (bass), Chan Poling (keyboards) and Hugo Klaers (drums).  A band that wore the tag "next big thing" but never got that far.  A local phenomenon in Minneapolis they were also the first band to ever release a single on the indy TwinTone label.  The band reunited in Minneapolis for three shows in 2002. Poling has gone on to a successful career scoring music and released a solo disc in 1993.  1978-87.
