SHRIEKBACK
From London. Led by Barry Andrews (vocals/keyboards) with Dave Allen (bass), Carl Marsh (guitar) and Martyn Barker (drums). A serious dance machine formed by Andrews after leaving XTC with Allen fresh out of Gang Of 4. Their combination of dark grooves layered on top of dance structures provided a more fluid sound that took funk into gothic, best exemplified by their monster hit "Nemesis". In 2004 a new six song cd was released featuring all original members. 1981-89/1993/1999-present.
