THE SUPERIONS

From Newark, New Jersey.  Fred Schneider (vocals) has taken his sarcastic voice through numerous fun romps with his group The B-52's over the last thrirty years.  Venturing out with a solo disc in 1984 called Fred Schneider and The Shake Society, he scored with the tongue in cheek hit "Monster".  Years later the album was reissued without the back up band name in the title.  Fred seemed content to remain in his band for eleven years more before the release of "Just Fred", a harder sounding project that strayed from his known formula.  In 2008, Fred formed a new group called The Superions and broke into the dance charts with the clever "Who Threw That Ham At Me?"  1984-present.
