SAVE FERRIS
From Orange County, California. Led by Monique Powell (vocals) with Brian Mashburn (guitar), Bill (bass), Marc Harismendy (drums), T-Bone Willy (trombone), Eric "Zeck" Zamora (saxophone) and Jose Castellanos (trumpet). Another band of the ska revival craze, their biggest hit was a cover of the Dexy's Midnight Runners' classic "Come On Eileen". The band name comes from the film "Ferris Beuller's Day Off". After other area bands took off to new heights and they did not, the band split, with some members remaining as back up players for Monique who now tours and records under her own name. 1996-1999.
