THE ROTTERS

From Los Angeles.  Led by Phester Swollen (Tom Chartier)(guitar), with Bob Lee (vocals) La Jaime (bass) and Sean Antillon (drums).  With a fake British accent and a healthy snobby attitude towards the old guard California rock of The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and others, their irreverence culminated in the low-fi independent single "Sit On My Face Stevie Nicks" which was promptly banned from airplay in L.A. (or was that the plan all along?).  The band also spent three years in Japan trying to become a cult phenomenon along the lines of The Runaways.  The only original member left is Swollen who still leads the band on club dates throughout the California area.  1978-present.
