ROMAN HOLLIDAY

From England. Led by Steve Lambert (vocals) and Brian Bonhomme (guitar/horns) with John Durno (bass), Robert Lambert (saxophone), Simon Cohen (drums), Adrian York (keyboards) and John Eacott (trumpet/saxophone). This seven piece unit was hard to describe. Beating the swing revival by a good 10 years with their hit "Stand By", they switched from a fresh faced scrubbed look to a hair band glam by their second album which bore no resemblance to their previous selves. Why they changed is anyone's guess. Their single "One Foot Back In Your Door" was penned by the album's producer (and Shania Twain's husband) Mutt Lange. Some of that song's lyrics would be reused and rearranged later for the Billy Ocean hit "Get Out Of My Dreams, Get Into My Car". The band reunited for a single London performance in 2001. 1983-84.
