THE ROCKATS
LEVI & THE ROCKATS

From England. Led by Levi Dexter (vocals) with Smutty Smiff (bass), Eddie Dibbles aka Dibbs Preston (Steve Preston)(guitar/vocals), Mick Barry (Barry Ryan) (guitar) and Lewis King (drums). Dexter left the band after a few singles and the leadership then went to Smith (or Smiff) With Preston on vocals. Tim Scott then joined the group to take over vocals before he too went solo. The final line-up of the band with "Dibbs Preston" on vocals, made the only big Rockats hit "Make That Move". Scott wrote and performed the song "Swear" as a solo act which later became a huge hit for Sheena Easton. He continues to have a prolific career. Preston and Dexter have both had long solo careers albeit with limited success, Preston continued the band again recording under The Rockats name though he is the only original member left. 1979-83/2000-present.
