THE
REIVERS

From
Austin, Texas.
Formerly known as the band Zeitgeist.
Led by John Croslin (vocals/guitar) with Kim Longacre (vocals/guitar),
Cindy Toth (bass/violin) and Garrett Williams (drums).
Folkish rock, much like R.E.M. and 10,000 Maniacs.
They had a shot at real success but
were severely sidelined when they were forced to change the name of the
band. They continued on with a few great albums but the damage was
done. Croslin is now a music producer.
Kim Longacre is a descendant of the person who modeled for the Indian
Head penny of the late 1800's!
In recent years their songs "Almost Home" and "Araby"
were covered by Hootie & The Blowfish.
Croslin plans a release for his
current band; The Firefighters of Bethlehem in the near future. 1985-91.
