Glastonbury, England.
Led by Gary Stringer (vocals) with Kenwyn House (guitar), Jack
Bessant (bass)
and Dominic Greensmith (drums).
A British roots rock act that would be comparable to The Black
Crowes in
the States.
In their native country they were somewhat dismissed.
They originally called themselves Naked but the record company
made them
change their names to help market the act.
Compared to the Britpop and Spice Girls that dominated British
radio at
the time, they were very alternative. Reef enjoyed a few
years of popularity but reached their zenith early on and by 2004
called it quits. In 2010 the band regrouped for a reunion tour
and their future together may be a possibility. Greensmith is
also a member of Carbon/Silicon. 1995-2003.
