THE RAVE-UPS

From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and then based in Los Angeles.  Led by Jimmer Podrasky (vocals/guitar) with Timothy Jimenez (drums), Tommy Blatnik (bass) and Terry Wilson (guitar).  The band reached the height of their success with an appearance in the Molly Ringwald movie "Pretty In Pink".  Such a fan was Ringwald that their new friendship led to Podrasky marrying Molly's sister Beth!  The sour side of that appearance was that they weren't included in the hit soundtrack. Podrasky then formed a duo called The Lovin' Miserys which included Concrete Blonde drummer Harry Rushakoff.  They released a limited edition cd in 1996.  2002 found the Rave-Ups together and back playing club dates, an unreleased album is ready for release.  1984-90.
