From Forest Hills, New York. As the leader of The Ramones, Jeffrey Hyman not only became the image of punk rock but the inspiration for punk across the planet. The best part of Joey's style was that he presented punk as something fun and not necessarily nihilistic. The Ramones were his life and love and like any relationship, complicated with love and hate. After his death, the album he had been working on was released posthumously. From a classic Louis Armstrong cover to a love song expressing his crush on financial news analyst Maria Bartiromo, this album showed all the playful sides of his spirit. 2002.
