PROPAGANDA
From Dusseldorf, Germany. Led by Claudia Brucken (vocals) with Michael Mertens (percussion), Susanne Freytag (vocals) and Ralf Dorper (keyboards). Brucken quit after their wonderful first album and went on to a successful solo career with her band The Act and as herself. Dorper became a member of Die Krupps. As of 1997, the group had reformed without Dorper and were making demos which resulted in a cd release for the single "No Return". Ironically, no album followed and perhaps there will be "no return" for this group after all. Another aborted attempt in 2002 followed. Brucken has since released an album with Paul Humphreys of OMD under the name OneTwo. Mertens continues to keep optimism alive by keeping the website online. 1984-86/1989-90/1998.
