From Newcastle, England. Led by Paddy McAloon (vocals/guitar/keyboards) with brother Martin McAloon (bass) and Wendy Smith (vocals). They started out influenced by the white soul resurgence that was taking place in England and these days sound very much like the Pet Shop Boys. 1982-present.
