PORNO FOR PYROS
From Los Angeles. Led by Perry Farrell (vocals) with Peter DiStefano (guitar), Martyn LeNoble (bass) and Stephen Perkins (drums). Formed during the first Lollapalooza tour, Farrell and Perkins defected Jane's Addiction for a new beginning. LeNoble joined on from Thelonius Monster but left the band in 1995. Porno For Pyros is a band that has been criticized from the start. Jane's Addiction were on top of their game when Farrell pulled the plug and many feel that this newer band did not live up to the legacy. That might be the reason that he ended up putting this band on hiatus and taking Jane's Addiction back out on tour again. A final PornoFor Pyros contribution to the Howard Stern film "Private Parts" led to a new chapter in the Jane's Addiction story. Success of a different kind came to bass player Martyn LeNoble, in 2010 he got engaged to former "Married With Children" star Christina Applegate. 1993-97.
