POP WILL EAT ITSELF

From Stourbridge, England. Led by Clint Mansell (vocals/guitar) with The Buzzard (guitar), Richard March (bass), Adam Mole (keyboards) and Fuzz Townshend (drums). Starting as a grebo band, they've slowly evolved into masters of a techno sound that is all their own. They began with one EP release as Wild And Wandering before changing their name. They derived the PWEI name from an article written about another band (Carter U.S.M.) in the New Music Express. Original guitarist Graham Crabb quit the band and the group lost their inspiration. The band split in 1996, attempted a new disc in 1999 but failed to complete it.. 1986-94.
