From New York City, now residing in California.  The brother of actors Sean and Christopher Penn.  Penn is a modern troubadour whose musical talent equals the acting talents of his kin!  He is married to former 'Til Tuesday singer Aimee Mann.  Recent years have found Michael taking a step towards uniting musicians into a collective that can work and support themselves independently of record company support.  1989-present.
