From Franklin, Tennessee.  Led by Hayley Williams (vocals/keyboards) with Taylor York (guitar), Josh Farro (guitar), Jeremy Davis (bass) and Zac Farro (drums). The initial band members met while still young teenagers at school.   Their first release drew some attention in the UK but was largely ignored in the States.  By the time the second album was released, the band was more determined than ever to get the notice they deserved and that's exactly what happened.  Early band interviews focused on their young age and how they managed to tour as minors.  Quick success however led to a fragile state for the band and they took a break, cancelling a planned European tour.  Coming back with a song on the soundtrack to the teen vampire movie "Twilight", provided new success as "Decode" quickly topped the alternative rock charts.  2005-present.
