VANESSA PARADIS

From St. Maur, France.  A model and actress, Paradis released her first single at age 14 and hit it big at age 16 with the Eurodance hit "Joe Le Taxi" in 1987.  Subsequent releases show a fondness for Lou Reed with several covers of Reed classics.  Her third album was produced by Lenny Kravitz which also apparently spawned a brief affair.  She began a relationship with actor Johnny Depp which has culminated in several children.  Depp moved to France and lives with her still.  Paradis has since become an icon of French entertainment.  1985-present.
