YOU PRETTY THING

From Berlin, Germany.  Led by Jayney Klimek (vocals) with Alf Klimek (vocals), Johnny Klimek (bass), Andreas Schwarz-Ruszczynski (guitar), Stephan Gottwald (keyboards) and Uwe Hoffmann (drums).  Alternative pop that had great potential but perhaps a lack of local representation stopped the group from going further.   Jayney was still active in music in the 90's, she provided the vocals for German DJ Paul van Dyk's hit "Bump This Party" in 1994 and also appeared as vocalist on several tracks by Tangerine Dream the same year.  The Klimeks are siblings, Johnny is a twin to Jayney and they were born in Australia.  Johnny has since had a successful career scoring films.  In 2006, Jayney and Andreas started a new band called You Pretty Thing and hit big in Europe in 2008 with the song "Push It".  Since the album also featured guest vocals from Johnny and Alf, we can pretty much call it an Other Ones reunion!  The Klimeks are also cousins to the Cester brothers of the Australian band Jet!  1986-88.
