THE ORB

From England. Led by Alex Patterson, this ambient dance act rides high in the UK charts but is mostly confined to back rooms at dance clubs and clever use in television advertisements in the US. Jim Cauty of The KLF was an original member of The Orb but left the band in 1991. The band's name comes from the pleasure giving orb seen in the Woody Allen film "Sleeper". The breakthrough hit "Little Fluffy Clouds" features the voice of Rickie Lee Jones! 1989-present.
